Privacy notice
This notice covers the BurnCal AI public website and the Founding 1,000 early-access signup. In force from 30 July 2026.
Short version: this site collects one thing — the email address you type into the signup form — and uses it for the Founding 1,000 campaign and nothing else. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and you can have it deleted by asking.
What is collected
When you submit the early-access form, the following is stored:
- Your email address. Held in lower case so the same address cannot be counted twice.
- Whether you have confirmed it, and when. Only confirmed addresses count toward the Founding 1,000.
- A referral code generated for you, and the code of the person who referred you, if you arrived through an invite link.
- Your founding member number, assigned at the moment you confirm.
- A campaign source label, if you arrived from a tagged link, so we can tell which announcements worked.
Confirmation links are stored only as a one-way hash. The usable link exists in your email and nowhere else — not even an administrator can read it back out of the database.
What is not collected
- No name, address, phone number, date of birth, or payment details.
- No health, weight, or food data. None of that exists until you use the app itself.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This site sets no tracking cookies at all.
- No third-party analytics script is loaded on these pages.
Why it is collected
To confirm that a real person controls the address, to hold your place and your rate, to send your access link when early access opens on 25 August 2026, and to send occasional notes about the campaign in between. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form; you can withdraw it at any time.
How long it is kept
- Unconfirmed addresses are deleted 90 days after signup. If you never open the confirmation link, your address quietly disappears.
- Confirmed addresses are kept for the duration of the campaign and, if you go on to hold an account, for as long as that account exists. If you unsubscribe without taking up early access, the record is deleted within 30 days.
Who it is shared with
Two categories of processor, and no one else: the hosting and database provider that runs this site, and the email provider that delivers the confirmation and launch messages. Both act on instruction only. Your address is never sold, rented, or passed to advertisers.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any campaign email using the link in its footer.
- Ask for a copy of what is held against your address, or ask for it to be corrected.
- Ask for deletion. Your record is removed and your founding place is released.
Write to privacy@burncalai.com for any of these. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Cookies and local storage
No cookies are set by this site. Two values are kept in your browser's own storage: your referral code, so the sharing panel still works when you return, and a one-time flag used to clear out a service worker left behind by an earlier version of this site. Both stay on your device and can be cleared from your browser settings.
Children
This site and the early-access campaign are not directed at children under 16, and addresses known to belong to a child will be removed.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects how your address is used, the change will be announced by email to confirmed members before it takes effect.
Not medical advice
BurnCal AI supports general healthy-habit tracking. Nothing on this site or in the app is medical advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.
